About

Established in 2017 by refugees in Rwanda, the Forum pour la Memoire Vigilante (FMV) is a National Non Governmental Organization working in the public interest, promoting activities benefiting the public. The organization's main mission is education on the genocide, assistance to survivors and victims of genocide and/or other acts of serious human rights violations. Active in education as well as humanitarian assistance to the most deprived among immigrants, refugees, returnees and internally displaced persons, the organization supports the poorest to move from the stage of vulnerability to the stage of contributor to the development of society. Psychologically, people who have experienced traumatic events are helped to maintain their self-esteem. This allows them to rebuild social structures and changes them into active citizens rather than passive victims. The Forum pour la Memoire Vigilante helps refugees, displaced and returnees to access health care through awareness-raising activities, advocacy, and the establishment of local social structures among refugees. The FMV provides legal and material assistance to people in need. This consists of providing information, advice, and legal representation for social protection purposes. Our values: MEMORY – EDUCATION - PREVENTION. Mission : education on the genocide, assistance to survivors and victims of genocide and/or other acts of serious human rights violations Vision : Eradicate poverty in all its forms, satisfy the needs of the population and guarantee prosperity for all.
